Devenpeck, Allen ALTAMONT Allen G. Devenpeck, 65, "Big Al" and "Showboat", passed away Thursday, June 20, 2013 at St. Peter's Hospice Inn, Albany after a short illness. Born in Schenectady on April 27, 1948, he was the son of William Devenpeck and Gladys Parshall Devenpeck. He was educated in the Scotia schools and graduated from Scotia Glenville High School class of 1966. He was a Vietnam Veteran of the United States Air Force. He was employed as a general sales manager of Chris Craft Industries, Waterford, for over 20 years. He married Linda M. Devenpeck (Wolf) February 6, 1971. The were married for 42 years. Allen was a lifetime member of the VFW and NRA. He was a member for over 30 years of the Masons Noah Lodge No. 754. He was a member for many years of the Dunnsville Rod & Gun Club. He was a member of the Cooperstown VFW and American Legion. Allen received many awards during his years at Chris Craft for his salesmanship and success. Allen was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved fishing on his boat in Cooperstown. He was a trapper in his early years. He loved building cabins and furniture from wood off his land. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and was always proud of his two sons achievements. Besides his wife Linda, he is survived by sons, Stuart (Joyce) of Duanesburg and Mark of Newport Beach, Calif.; grandchildren, Juliette Rose Devenpeck and Miranda and Dalton Stocking; several nieces and nephews. Calling hours Sunday, June 30 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 5216 Western Turnpike (just west of Carman Road). Services will follow the calling period at 1 o'clock. Burial with military honors at Lakewood Cemetery, Cooperstown. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Allen's name to Wounded Warrior Project, National Processing Center, P.O.
