Koreman, Charles J. ALBANY Charles J. Koreman, 90, died suddenly Wednesday, September 4, 2013 at home. Born in Albany, he was the son of the late Charles and Florence Yeager Koreman. Charles was a graduate of Christian Brothers Academy, and attended both Siena College and American School of Banking. He was a US Army World War II veteran, and served in the European Theater. Charles was part of America's greatest generation, and participated in the second assault wave on the beaches of Normandy. He was an Elk, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family. He was the beloved husband of Bridget Anne Mangan Koreman; brother of the late Jean Bianchi and Albert Alston; dear uncle of Peter and Patty Sarafin, Janet and Donald Cotter, Gary Sarafin and Carl and Mitzi Bianchi; survived by many other nieces and nephews in the USA, England and Ireland. Funeral services Monday, September 9, 2013 at 8 a.m. from McVeigh Funeral Home, 208 North Allen St., Albany thence to Blessed Sacrament Church, Albany at 9 a.m. where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Relatives and friends are invited and may call Sunday, September 8, 2013 4 to 7 p.m. in the funeral home. Interment Our Lady Help of Christians Cemetery.
