Dugan, Edward A. HALFMOON Edward Arthur Dugan, 84, died Monday, February 18, 2013 at St. Mary's Hospital in Troy. Born in Watervliet on September 7, 1928, he was the son of the late Charles and Dorothy Archam-beault Dugan. Ed was raised and educated in Watervliet and was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He was employed at the City of Watervliet filtration plant and later by Troy Savings Bank in Troy as a maintenance worker from which he retired. He has been a resident of the Millview Adult Home in Latham since November. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, nature and loved his cats and feeding the birds. He was very charitable to children's causes, especially the Ronald McDonald House. He was a member of the Watervliet VFW Post 729. He is the brother of Joan DeGiorgio of Troy and the late Charles, James, Walter and Dorothy Dugan and Mary Seney Follett; uncle of Dorothy (Dan) Wells-Forgett of Halfmoon, Veronica Seney and Mary Ann (William) Burniche, both of Watervliet and Tammy Follett of Latham. He is also survived by several other nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and great-grandnieces and great-grandnephews. The funeral will be Friday, February 22, 2013 at 11 a.m. from the Parker Bros. Memorial, 2013 Broadway, Watervliet and at 11:30 a.m. at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Watervliet where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment, St. Patrick's Cemetery, Watervliet.
