Maguire, Edward J. TROY Edward J. Maguire passed away Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at his residence following a long illness. Born in Troy, he was the son of the late Thomas and Helen Brown Maguire and husband of Marilyn DeLuca Maguire. Ed was a graduate of St. Patrick's Grammar School and attended Troy High School and Hudson Valley Community College. He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving during the Korean Conflict and was employed for many years as an electrician by American Sign and Indicator Corp. Survivors in addition to his wife Marilyn, include his children, Edward (Tina) Maguire Jr. of Waterford; his daughters, Kathleen R. (Paul) DiMura of Wynantskill, Lisa M.(Richard) Fenton of Troy, Terry Maguire of Troy and Patrica (James) Rubino of Wynantskill; grandfather of Paige and Jason Maguire, Emily and Ethan DiMura, and Brett, Shelby,Hayley Fenton and James J. Rubino; also survived by DeAnn Troutman who Ed considered his surrogate daughter. Edward was the brother of the late Thomas and Patrick Maguire. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 25 at 7:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, 310 Spring Ave., Troy. Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the John H. Clinton Funeral Home, Washington Park and Third St., Troy. Interment in Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please make contributions to Sacred Heart School, 308 Spring Ave., Troy NY 12180.
