Soloyna, George ALBANY George Soloyna, 86, died on Friday, August 22, 2014 at the Community Hospice of Albany Memorial Hospital. Mr. Soloyna was born in Troy and was the son of the late Theodore and Mary (Gula) Soloyna. He was a World War II Marine Corps veteran and a life member of Colonie Elks Lodge 2192. Mr. Soloyna worked for Millbrook Bread for 25 years and later for the New York State Bakery in Rotterdam before retiring in the 1980s. He was husband of the late MaryRose (Nero) Soloyna; brother-in-law of the late Pam Nero; father of George, Mark, Debbie, Kim, Michele, Donna (Paul) and Anthony; brother of Helen LeMay and the late Michael, John, Mary, Rose, Catherine, Ann and Sally; grandfather of Stacey Lynn Spagnola and Sarah Soloyna. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A special thanks to Nikki and Jeffrey who took such good care of George for many years. Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 25, 2014. at 10 a.m., in the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home Inc., 490 Delaware Ave., Albany. Relatives and friends are invited and may also call at the funeral home on Sunday, August 24, 2014, from 3 to 6 p.m. Interment at St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands.
