Bruins, Gysbert Jr. EAST GREENBUSH Gysbert "Bert" Bruins Jr., age 63, of East Greenbush passed away at his residence unexpectedly on Sunday, November 24, 2013. He was born in Albany and lived in East Greenbush his entire life. Bert was employed as a salesman for E. A. Morse & Company, Frank Brothers Flooring and Ted's Floor Covering. He was later employed as a bus driver for the East Greenbush Central School district before retiring. His lifetime hobby was his ham radio, and his handle was N2FPJ. He also was a founding member and first president of the East Greenbush Amateur Radio Association. He also enjoyed his pipe as well as hunting. Bert was a life member of the East Greenbush Fire Department. Husband of Ruth Davis Bruins. Father of Jill, Anne and Frederick Bruins. Son of the late Gysbert Sr. and Marie Rabe Bruins. Brother of Nancy Condo. Uncle of Michael (Meg) Condo and James Condo. Also survived by many other nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Funeral from the W.J. Lyons Jr. Funeral Home, 1700 Washington Ave., Saturday, November 30, 2013 at 9:30 a.m. All are welcome to attend.
