Fingar, Irwin G. Jr. ALBANY Irwin Grayson Fingar Jr., 56, passed away peacefully on January 16, 2014 at his home with his longtime partner by his side. Irwin was born in Albany to Nancy E. (Kern) and the late Irwin G. Fingar Sr. He enjoyed fishing, camping and spending time with his family, especially his dear niece Enola. Irwin proudly served our country with the United States Navy from 1976 through 1979. In addition to his mother, Irwin is survived by his loving companion of more than 20 years, Diana Fisher; he is the brother of Harriet (Charles) Priest, Nancy Snyder, Gail Klein (the late Alwin Klein), Homer Snyder, Mary Lasek, Fred Fingar and Susan (James) Cleveland. He is also survived by 16 nieces and nephews, 16 great-nieces and great-nephews, two great-great-nieces, his three aunts and many cousins. Funeral services will be on Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at 12 p.m. at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. Calling hours will precede the service from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at the Gerald B.H.
