Bailie, James J. Sr. GALWAY James J. Bailie Sr., 65, died at St. Mary's Hospital in Amsterdam on Friday, March 21, 2014. He was born in Cohoes. He was the son of the late Earl and Marguerite Corbeil Bailie. He served in the Air Force during the Vietnam War. He worked as an assembler at General Electric in Schenectady. Jim also owned Realty World, J.J. Associates in Clifton Park and Tri Yellow Taxi in Galway. James was a member of Galway Lions Club. Survivors include his wife of 28 years, Jill Peltier Bailie; his sons, James J. Baillie Jr. (Stuart Sigman) of Burbank, Calif., and Peter D. Bailie (Erica Watson) of Schenectady; his daughter, Rebecca Allmond; his brothers, Earl F. Bailie Jr. and Roger J. (Lori) Bailie; he is also survived by his cats, Samantha and Thumper. Services will be on Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Mevec Funeral Home, 224 Milton Ave., Ballston Spa. Committal service with full military honors will follow at the Gerald B.H. Solomon-Saratoga National Cemetery. Calling hours will be Monday, March 24 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Mevec Funeral Home.
