Massimilian, John Lawrence LOUDONVILLE John Lawrence Massimilian, 86, passed away at home on December 18, 2013 after a long illness. John was born in Niagara Falls, N.Y. in 1927 and graduated from Purdue University with a bachelor's in engineering, and from New York University with a master's in engineering. He was a US Army veteran and honorably served during World War II and the Korean war. John worked for 35 years as a civil engineer for the City of Niagara Falls and the New York State Department of Transportation. John enjoyed gardening, golf, poker, square dancing, and listening to his wife play "The Blue Danube" on the piano. He also was a member of the Empire State Capital Volkssporters walking club. Survivors include Dolores Massimilian, wife of 55 years; Lucy Rainville, sister, of Lewiston, N.Y.; three sons; and four grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church, Crumitie Road, Loudonville, on December 21 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church.
