Ennis, John W. RENSSELAER John W. Ennis, 87, died peacefully at The Hospice Inn in St. Peter's Hospital on Saturday, December 29, 2012. Mr. Ennis was a World War II Army veteran who served in the European Theatre and was awarded the bronze star and the purple heart. He was a branch manager for Fort Dodge Laboratories in Albany for 50 years. An avid tennis player, golfer and bowler, he was also active as a tudor in the East Greenbush School District Star program. He was a member of the Hendrick Hudson Male Chorus. A proud grandfather, he truly adored his grandsons. John was the husband of the late Lois Palmatier Ennis. He is survived by his daughter, Karen L. Kraus of East Greenbush; his grandsons, Charles John Kraus of West Hartford, Conn. and Joshua Michael Kraus of East Greenbush; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ronald Palmatier and his wife, Joyce and Linda (Palmatier) and Wesley Verbraska; also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice Inn at St. Peter's Hospital, 315 S. Manning Blvd., Albany, NY 12208.
