Occhialino, Marjorie ALBANY Marjorie J. Occhialino, 92, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, April 27, 2014. Born in Keokuk, Iowa, she was the daughter of the late Albert and May Robinson Greiner. Marjorie graduated high school in Albany, Calif., at age 16. Upon graduation she returned to Keokuk and worked for the telephone company before joining the U.S. Coast Guard as a radio operator during World War II; where she met her future husband, Joseph, in Miami. Marjorie worked as a secretary for various construction companies until retiring. She enjoyed curling, golfing, spending winters in Florida and most of all working in the summer with her daughter selling Hawaiian Shaved Ice. She was the wife of the late Joseph J. Occhialino; loving mother and best friend of Mary Jo Occhialino and the late Peter M. Occhialino; sister of the late Mildred Millspaugh; survived by many loving nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, friends and beloved cats. Funeral services, Thursday, May 1, 2014 at 8:15 a.m. from the McVeigh Funeral Home, 208 N. Allen St., Albany, thence to Blessed Sacrament Church, Albany at 9 a.m. where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Wednesday, April 30, 2014, from 4 to 7 p.m. in the funeral home. Interment, St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands.
