Colfels, Robert CHANDLER, Ariz. Robert Colfels, 52, of Chandler passed away peacefully at home after a short illness. He was born in Albany on March 5, 1962 to Kathleen Colfels and the late J. Donald Colfels. Bob spent most of his life in his hometown of Loudonville, moving to Arizona in 2009. Bob was active in Special Olympics where he was a terrific swimmer and his mom was a coach. He enjoyed bowling and brought home many trophies. Bob was an avid Yankee and Giants fan. Bob spent his later years helping his mom, and taking care of his dog, Max. He was always ready to lend a helping hand or a friendly wave as you passed by. He was loved by family and friends who hold a special place in their hearts for him. Bob is survived by his loving mother, Kathleen Colfels. Also his siblings, Karen Chavez and husband Pat Chavez, Donald Colfels, Mark Colfels and Lauren Priore and husband Chuck Priore. He leaves behind his cherished nieces and nephews, Nicole and Matthew Chavez, Chris and Cara Priore, and Joseph Colfels. Bob will be greatly missed.
