Sheridan, Walter F. RENSSELAER Walter F. Sheridan, 72, died at home on Saturday, June 15, 2013. A native of Albany, Walter was the son of the late Walter and Margaret Sheridan. Survivors include his beloved wife, Catherine F. Sheridan; his sons, Brian Sheridan, M.D. of Guilderland (Elaine) and Michael Sheridan of Rensselaer. He is also survived by his sister, Patricia A. Falzano (Richard); his brother, Christopher; his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Mary and John Tobin; and his granddaughter, Alivia Grace. He was predeceased by his sister, Sister Anne Sheridan, C.S.J. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Mr. Sheridan was employed by the New York State Department of Transportation for 38 years. He was a member of the Rensselaer Council 267 K of C, and a member of the Troy Lodge of Elks B.P.O.E. 141. Family and friends are invited and may call at the W. J. Lyons Jr. Funeral Home, 1700 Washington Ave., Rensselaer on Wednesday, June 19, 2013 from 4 to 8 p.m. The liturgy of Christian death and burial will be offered Thursday at 10 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist and St. Joseph Church, 50 Herrick St., Rensselaer.
