Cole, William R. WATERVLIET William R. Cole, 69, died Saturday, November 10, 2012 at the Diamond Hill Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Troy with his daughters at his side. Born in Cohoes on September 12, 1943, he was the son of the late Harold V. and Edna M. Fisher Cole. A resident of Watervliet for most of his life, Mr. Cole attended Watervliet High School and was a US Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He was employed by Tilley Ladder in Watervliet and was a school bus driver for the North Colonie School District for 29 years before retiring in 1999. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved his family. He is the beloved father of April M. Cole of Watervliet, Lisa A. (Jerry Curtin) Cole of Latham and Teia (Edward) Bennett of Watervliet; proud grandfather of Amanda and Tabatha Bennett, Miah and Shawn Curtin; brother of Linda Cole and Mary Lou Williams of Watervliet; several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call at the Parker Bros. Memorial, 2013 Broadway, Watervliet on Wednesday from 5-7 p.m. followed by the funeral service at 7 p.m. Following cremation, his ashes will be entombed on Friday at 12 noon at the Gerald BH Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery.
