EDWARD MANNING Obituary
MANNING Edward Thomas Ed Manning, Jr., age 71, of St. Augustine, passed away on February 17, 2013 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born and grew up in Springfield, Massachusetts, graduated from Cathedral High School and later attended Western New England University. Ed began his working career with the Springfield Republican Newspaper, and enjoyed a 26 year career with R.J. Reynolds where he retired as Vice President of Trade Relations in 1990. He was a member of San Juan Del Rio Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus and the Elks Lodge in New Jersey. He was a devoted husband, and a loving father and grandfather and will be deeply missed. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Barbara Manning, a daughter, Lori Henson (Jeffrey) of St. Augustine; sons, Michael Manning (Judy) of Monson, Mass., Stephen Manning (Shannon) of St. Augustine; a sister, Mary Jane Manning of Winston Salem, N.C., a brother, John Manning (Cathy) of Wilbraham, Mass; his mother-in-law, Helen Ardis of St. Augustine; and grandchildren, Shane Manning, Ian Manning, Carrick Manning, Morgan Henson, Christopher Henson, Aislinn Manning, Ryan Manning & Kendall Manning. A Funeral Mass will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 22, 2013 at San Juan Del Rio Catholic Church with Father John Tetlow officiating. A visitation, beginning at 12 noon will preceded the Mass. The family request that in lieu of flowers, donations in Ed's memory can be to San Juan Del Rio Catholic Church, 1718 State Road 13 N - Saint Johns, FL 32259.
