ELIZABETH WATSON Obituary
WATSON Elizabeth Betty Patti Watson, 81, a resident of Orange Park, FL, beloved Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt and Friend, passed away peacefully on November 27, 2012. Her greatest joy came from her family, education and music. In 1969, Betty was awarded a doctoral degree in education from Indiana University and began a career as a professor of education at the University of Missouri, St. Louis. Betty took an early retirement from teaching to join in running the family business, Patti s Restaurant and Catering. She retired from Patti s to spend more time with her grandchildren. Betty is survived by two daughters, Ann Watson Bianco of Middleburg, FL, and Mary Watson Stork and son-in-law Ernest Stork of Orange Park; grandchildren, Benjamin Charles Bianco, Charles Glen Stork and Elizabeth Rose Stork; brother, William Patti, and many loved nieces and nephews. And, for the past few years, Ms. Patti shared the companionship of Alli Keener, who she referred to always as her Angel. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Sunday, December 16 at 2:00 p.m. at Grace Episcopal Church, 245 Kingsley Avenue, Orange Park, FL 32073. To honor Betty s true loves of education and music, the family requests, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to The Oakleaf High School Golden Regiment Band. Donations can be sent to: Oakleaf High School, Attn: Mr. Gaines, 4035 Plantation Oaks Boulevard, Orange Park, FL 32065.
