SANTORA Gary Powell Santora, 62, passed away suddenly, but peacefully on February 8, 2013. Gary was born July 29, 1950 in Jacksonville, and spent much of his adult life in Atlantic Beach. After graduating from Wolfson High School, Gary attended Mercer University, as well as the University of Florida, where he graduated and became a life-long Gator. While Gary dedicated much of his professional life to the construction industry, his true love was hunting and fishing which he passionately shared with many of his closest friends. Gary was loved by all, and is survived by his daughter Darby, son Marcus, brother Brad, and his mother Barbara Santora. He is preceded in death by his brother Mark, and his father the Honorable Chief Circuit Judge John E. Santora Jr. A memorial service celebrating Gary's life will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, February 23 at 1731 Beach Ave. Atlantic Beach (casual beach attire required).
