GEORGE MACLEOD Obituary
MACLEOD Memorial services for George MacLeod, 77, will be held 2PM Friday, September 20, 2013 in the chapel at JACKSONVILLE MEMORY GARDENS FUNERAL HOME, 111 Blanding Blvd. Orange Park, FL with Rev. Tim McDaniel officiating. George was born on November 18, 1935 in Philadelphia, PA. He went home to be with the Lord on September 14, 2013 in Orange Park, FL surrounded by his family. George served his country proudly in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War and retired with over 25 years of decorated service. He attended Girard College, Penn State University, and graduated from Temple University with a doctorate degree in Dentistry. He enjoyed serving his military colleagues with his Dentistry profession for many years. George was predeceased by his loving wife of 44 years, Shirley Ann MacLeod in 2006. He is survived by his daughter, Kirsten MacLeod Martin (Eric); son, Matthew Lee MacLeod (Vickie); brother, Murdo MacLeod (Betty); two sisters, Margaret Wilkins and Sheila Kondrosky; six grandchildren, Veronica Martin, Heather MacLeod, Georgia Martin, Samuel MacLeod, Katherine MacLeod and Amanda MacLeod, and many other loving family members and friends. George will be remembered as a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend that touched the lives of many and will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him. The family requests memorials in George s name be made to Community Hospice of Northeast Florida, 4266 Sunbeam Road, Jacksonville, FL 32257.
