KIRKPATRICK Funeral services for John Scott Kirkpatrick, 50, will be held 1PM Saturday, March 9, 2013 in the chapel at JACKSONVILLE MEMORY GARDENS FUNERAL HOME, 111 Blanding Blvd. Orange Park, FL. Interment will follow in Jacksonville Memory Gardens Cemetery with full military honors. John was born on November 27, 1962 in Arvada, Colorado. He went home to be with the Lord suddenly on February 28, 2013 in Orange Park, FL surrounded by his family. John is serving his country proudly in the United States Navy and was due to retire from the Navy in December of 2013 with 20 years of devoted service. He has served in many assignments over the past 20 years as he was a true Patriot dedicated to the Red the White and the Blue. His medals include: Navy/Marine Corps Achievement Medal (3), Navy E Ribbon, National Defense Service Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal, GWOT Service Medal, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, Navy/MC Overseas Service Ribbon, Armed Forces Reserve Medal, Nato Medal, Navy Expert Pistol Shot Medal, and Navy Rifle Sharpshooter Ribbon. John is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Suzanne Kirkpatrick; two daughters, Katie Kirkpatrick and Shannon Kirkpatrick; three sisters, Sherry Lynn Long, Diane Kirkpatrick and Kimberly Kadash (John), and many other loving family members and friends. The family will receive friends on Saturday prior to the service from 12PM-1PM at JACKSONVILLE MEMORY GARDENS FUNERAL HOME. The family requests memorials in John s name be made to the Wounded Warrior Hospital fund at www.woundedwarriorhospitalfund.org
