James Ramsey Obituary
RAMSEY James D. Ramsey, 83, passed away February 14, 2012 at the Orange Park Medical Center. He is survived by his devoted wife, Della of 61 years and children Jim and Dianne Weatherington (Mike), grandchildren Tia and sons, Kim (Steven) and 2 children. Jim retired from Illinois to live in Orange Park Country Club in 1990 with his family and they spent many happy times together. He had spent 28 years in Education in the Math Department of Morton West High School Berwyn, Illinois. He was a graduate of Southern Illinois University, attended Indiana University for a number of summers, attended University of Chicago, spent a year on sabbatical at Florida State in Tallahassee, Fl. accumulating a number of degrees and hours to further his education. Since 1999 his lifestyle had been limited by lung cancer but was able to play poker and continued to enjoy life with family and relatives. Jim was taken back to his hometown of Rosiclare, Ill. and buried in the Fluorine Cemetery on February 18, 2012. On March 24, a memorial to Jim will be held at his home with family, friends and the Rev. Pearl Boles.
