John Wesley White Obituary
WHITE Please Sign the Guestbook @ Jacksonville.com John Wesley White, 84, passed away Friday, August 29, 2014 at Acosta-Rua Community Hospice in Jacksonville. He was born in Boise, Idaho on April 18, 1930. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1952-1955. He was stationed in Hollywood , Florida where he met his bride of 58 years Shirley White. In Florida Mr. White lived in Hollywood, West Palm Beach, Ocala, Clewiston and Jacksonville. He was a faithful member of the First United Pentecostal Church on Normandy Blvd. in Jacksonville. He was preceded in death by his wife Shirley and brothers Allan and Jim. He is survived by a son Jerry (Meg), a daughter Michele Harris (Rev. Mark), brothers Dale, Stanley and Edsel, 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Brother White's love was church and family. A viewing will be held at Fraser Funeral Home at 8168 Normandy in Jacksonville from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, September 3rd. Funeral Services will be held at First United Pentecostal Church of Jacksonville at 11697 Normandy Blvd. on Thursday, September 4th at 11:00 a.m. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Interment is in Jacksonville National Cemetery.
