Johnson Hagood Pace Jr. Obituary
PACE Rev. Johnson Hagood Pace Jr. died 15 November 2013. Son of Johnson H. and Margaret (Young) Pace. While born in Brunswick, Georgia on 15 August 1918, he was raised in Miami, Florida. A graduate of University of Florida, he attended the University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee, served in the U.S. Army in WWII in the Pacific Theatre and was ordained an Episcopal Priest in 1948. He served churches in Florida and Georgia for 65 years. He was a member of Chi Phi Fraternity, Sons of the American Revolution, the Jacksonville Historical Society, the Duval County Agricultural Council and Old Arlington. His children are Nancy Ford (Bruce); Margaret Chancey (Roy); Jon Pace (Denise) and Jim Pace (Lisa); six grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be at 11 am on Friday December 6, 2013 at the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd at 1100 Stockton Street. Reception following.
