My deepest sympathy to each of you at this time of Andy's passing. I have many good memories of him through our association with Habitec Security. He was a good man and I throughly enjoyed knowing and talking to him over the years. Sadly I am out of state and unable to extend my condolences in person. May he rest in peace.

Rudy's was such a special place growing up. We loved walking there as kids as we just lived a few blocks away. Even now, 45+ years later, my family can't wait to eat there whenever we are in town. What made it so special was Andy and Harry's friendliness as you walked in the door (along with the staff). I'm sure Andy will be missed greatly by his family and friends. Truly so very sorry for your loss.

I remember being a toddler well into my adult life walking into Rudy's and being greeted with a glowing smile on Andys face. If Sammy wasn't there, Andy often made sure that my sisters and I always got our choice of candy. We got our hot dogs, and my grandparents got their coffee that they went to get sometimes 3-5 times a day and Andy would come out to chat with us. Later in my teenage years I was fortunate enough to work at Rudy's alongside Andy. He (and Harry) taught me how to cook many foods. I also was fortunate enough to reap the benefits of his hunting, as he always provided homemade lunch for employees on Wednesdays. Many wild game dishes I was happy to try-if you think Rudys hot dogs were good- you have not tried nothing till you have had his game cooking. My heart is with the entire Rudys family that I have grew to know and love from a very small age. Rudys will not be the same Andy-may you Rest In Peace and may the family be at peace that Andy is without pain, resting with his son he loved dearly. Love you!

I am so saddened to hear of his passing. I first met Andy when I was going to St. Agnes School on Martha Ave. and on Fridays, my parents would let us go to Rudy's for lunch. Of course we couldn't have a hot dog, because it was on a Friday, and we were Catholic, but they had the best grilled cheese! Andy would always call me "freckles" and I have been going there every since. A few years ago, when my family was visiting from California, Andy gave us a personal tour through his restaurant and kitchen, and gave us each a Rudy's tray. He led us out the back door so others wouldn't see us leaving with such a treasure. I wish I would have thought to have him autograph it. He was one of the kindest men I ever met, and I am sure he is serving hot dogs in Heaven:). Our prayers and Condolences to His Family from The McMahon Family, and myself, Carol McMahon-Williamson who grew up on Overland Pkwy.

Joan, Paula & Dionyssiou family. We are very sadden with the news that Andy has been taken from you and all of us. He was such a great person in addition to being a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was a giver in a world full of takers. He treated his friends, employees and customers always with respect. He was a friend to our family and especially to my Uncle George. It's impossible to replace Andy. We are all better people because of him. May his memory be eternal.
