Ariel I. "Rico"
Ariel I. "Rico" Gonzales, age 58, of Rossford, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, July 13, 2014, at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center. Rico was born on April 28, 1956, in Youngstown, Ohio to Ismael and Ann (Valle) Gonzales. Rico proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps during Desert Storm. After being honorably discharged from the Marines, he was employed with Towlift, Inc. as a lead mechanic for many years, retiring in 2014. He enjoyed working on and riding his 1983 Goldwing GL100i that he painted himself. He was active in his motorcycle chapter, GWRRA Ohio W-2, where he was a former director. Rico loved participating in family activities and especially enjoyed watching his son, Jacob, ride his dirt bike.
He enjoyed his job and working with the people at Towlift and was never afraid to speak his mind.
Surviving are his loving wife of 25 years, Lori (Bartell) Gonzales; children, Daniel (Heather) Gonzales, Rhea Gonzales, and Jacob
Gonzales; parents; sisters, Maribel Gonzales and Debra (Jose) Medina; also surviving are grandchildren, Teagan, Madison, and Makenna
Gonzales, and Daniel's sister, Jessica Mahl.
Family and friends may visit at the Sujkowski Funeral Home of Rossford, 830 Lime City Rd., on Saturday, July 19, 2014, from 2-7 p.m. at which time services will take place in the funeral home with A. Roy Chase, Jr. officiating. Interment will be private.
