Arthur James Lewis, 62, of Toledo, OH, passed away Sunday, June 29. He married Beth Ann (Sydlaske) Lewis on July 29, 1972. Art served six years in the U.S. Navy aboard nuclear fast attack submarines. He worked 30 years at the Davis Besse Nuclear Power Station serving as shift supervisor. Art served for many years in various leadership positions at CrossPoint Community Church and was an active member of Elks B.P.O.E. 53 (Toledo). His greatest love was his family and he spent his entire life caring for and serving them.
Art is survived by his wife, Beth; his children, Sarah Singler (Chip), Piper Allen (Jason), Benjamin Lewis (Carrie), and his seven grandchildren. He is also survived by his mother, Marilyn; sisters, Karen Durbin and Aline Pack, and his brother, Kelly Lewis.
His servant's spirit and love of life will be celebrated at a 3 p.m. memorial service on July 6, at CrossPoint Community Church, 4212 Onondaga Street in Point Place.
