Betty Jane Bernhardt

Betty Jane Bernhardt Woznicki, age 92, passed away on Thursday, October 18, 2012, at Sunset House. Betty was born in Toledo on November 25, 1919, daughter of Arthur and Bertha (Vogler) Bernhardt. She graduated Notre Dame Academy in 1937. For 55 years, Betty was employed, in a variety of positions by the City of Toledo, retiring in 1995. Mayor Carleton Finkbeiner honored Betty with a Proclamation of "Betty Woznicki Day" on November 28, 1995. She was a lifelong member of St. Clement Catholic Church. Betty enjoyed spending time with friends and family.

Betty was preceded in death by parents; brothers, Richard Bernhardt and Arthur Bernhardt, and sister-in-law, Judith Bernhardt. She is survived by her daughter, Barbara (George) Monger; grandchildren, Geoffrey Monger and Katrina (Tim) Fulton; great-grandchildren, Joshua Fulton and Kyle Fulton; sister, Barbara Bernhardt; brother, James Bernhardt, and sister-in-laws, Bernadette Bernhardt and Betty Bernhardt.

Friends and family may visit on Sunday, October 21, 2012, from 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at H.H. Birkenkamp Funeral Home, 3219 Tremainsville (419-473-1301). Mass of the Christian Burial will be Monday, October 22, 2012, beginning at 3:00 p.m. at St. Clement Catholic Church, (please meet at church) 3030 Tremainsville Rd.
