Carol A. Wooten, 70, passed away suddenly on December 27, 2013, due to complications resulting from a five year battle with metastatic breast cancer. Her courage during this time was inspirational to all who knew her; and she was able to laugh and maintain her funny sense of humor throughout this entire period.
Carol was born on October 24, 1943, in Anacortes, Washington to Earle and Helen Richardson. She was a 1961 graduate of Hillsdale High School and a 1992 graduate of Monroe Community College, achieving a degree in accounting. Carol will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who was devoted to her family and friends. She loved spending time with her family and grandchildren. She enjoyed camping, knitting, Bingo, cooking, and baking. No one was ever disappointed with any of her meals. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her loving family, husband of 44 years, Patrick; children, Heidi Russell, Erik Wooten, and Kevin Kellogg; grandchildren, Adam Russell, John Wooten, Brittany (Jacob) McNees, Brandon Kellogg, Joshua Kellogg, and Jonah Kellogg; sisters, Jane (Tom) Foster and Kathleen (Tom) Mangold, and numerous nieces and nephews. Carol was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Robert Richardson, and grandson, Jeffrey Russell.
