ACHINGER Darren E. Darren E. Achinger, 47 years, of Temperance, MI passed away suddenly Wednesday, July 4, 2012, in his home. The son of David and Marjorie (Benner) Achinger, he was born December 15, 1964 in Toledo. He was a volunteer for the Community Base in Monroe. Darren had participated in many Special Olympics, winning gold and silver medals. He had also won state championships in poly hockey. He loved country music and collecting Dukes of Hazard Memorabilia, obtaining their autographs. He was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Temperance. Darren was a very outgoing person and loving son. He will be missed very much by his loving mother, Marjorie Achinger, brother, Kevin, and many loving aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his father. Visitation will be Sunday, July 8, 2012, from 3-8 p.m. in Urbanski's Bedford Funeral Chapel 8300 Lewis Avenue Temperance, where the funeral service will be at 7 p.m., officiated by Rev. Frank Paine. Burial will be Monday, July 9, 2012, at 9 a.m. in Whiteford Union Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Michigan Special Olympics- Central Michigan University- Mt.
