Dennis Connolly, 67, died peacefully at home, Northwood, Ohio July 18, 2013. Dennis was born January 21, 1946, to Joseph Patrick, M.D. Ret. Lt. Col. USNA and Eleanor (Airey) Connolly and grew up in Glen Rock, New Jersey. After graduating Glen Rock High School, Dennis attended Toledo University (UT) where he met his future wife, Cindy. He received his degree in business administration in 1968; entered the US Army in 1969, serving in Anchorage, Alaska, honorably discharged.
Dennis had a long career in purchasing; working for Edward C. Levi Co., Clarke-American, lastly Pilkington. Dennis was a life-long UT sports enthusiast; enjoyed all sports, especially baseball. Willie Mays remaining his favorite player. WWII always held his interest, reading book after book on the subject as well as watching movies. He would laugh uproariously at a good joke or comedy and loved his rock n roll oldies. Dennis's granddaughters were his most recent pride and joy. He anticipated each visit, spending time reading, building blocks, playing and prideful of the father his son is. And he enjoyed his Florida beach stays. An Irishman, Dennis enjoyed good banter, laughing, always had a helping hand to anyone; a gentle soul.
Dennis is lovingly survived by his beloved sons, Andrew Ian, Boynton Beach, FL, Seth Donovan Patrick of Northwood whom both he had great pride and patience; granddaughters by Andrew, Kelcie Marie and Brynn Louise; Cindy (Browning). Also surviving is brother-in-law, John Browning; nieces, Heather, Rachel and Lori Browning, Nichole Payne and family. Brother, Joseph Connolly. Dennis was preceded in death by his parents; in-laws, Ellen and Jack Browning, Cheryl Browning, Bob and Dick Browning. We will remember this man always and be comforted that he is at peace.
Friends may visit the family at the Sujkowski Funeral Home of Rossford, 830 Lime City Rd. on Monday July 22, 2013, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Internment will be private. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the
