DAVIS Donald Lee Donald Lee Davis, age 86, of Toledo, passed away Thursday, June 7, 2012, in Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo. Don was born February 5, 1926, in Swanton, Ohio to Gerald and Marie (Weddle) Davis. A 1944 graduate of Woodward High School, he served as senior class president and was instrumental in planning their many class reunions. Don served in the Army during WWII. He was a member of the American Legion Post #132 and Knights of Columbus Council 3122. He bowled in traveling leagues, loved to watch all sports on TV, and enjoyed crossword puzzles. Don worked as an accountant for various companies, including Toledo Health and Retiree Center and retired from Foodtown/Spartan stores when they closed. Don was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Mary Lucille Brillhart and Dorothy Morman; brothers, Eugene, Charles Robert, Norman, and Jerry Glenn, and 5 nephews. He is survived by his wife of 52 1/2 years, Helen (Laux) Davis; sons, Gregory, Jeffery, and Douglas; grandsons, Andrew and Matthew, all of Toledo, and sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, and nephews. Family and friends may visit Monday, June 11, 2012, from 3:00-8:00 p.m. at Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave. (west of Corey Rd.) with an American Legion Service at 7:30 p.m. Family will receive friends on Tuesday at 9:00 a.m. Funeral services will begin with prayers at the funeral home on Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. followed by Mass of the Resurrection at 10:00 a.m. at St. Clement Catholic Church 3030 Tremainsville Rd.
