Earl C.

Earl C. Carpenter, 88, passed away on March 31, 2013. He was born on April 28, 1924, to Jason and Mabel (Crist) Carpenter. Earl proudly served in the U.S. Army during World War II, from 1942-1945. He landed in the 2nd wave at Normandy on D-Day and was awarded a Silver Star and 3 Bronze Stars for valor and courage. In 1946 Earl married Betty J. Carter on March 30th. He worked for New York Central Railroad until the mid 1950s and then worked 50 dedicated years at Dudley's Drive-In. Earl was a Deacon and member of the Board at Bethel Assembly of God Church in Perrysburg.

Earl was preceded in death by his daughter, Naomi Estes; son, David; grandson, Tom; great-grandchildren, Hunter and Cindy; brothers, Harry Livergood, Gerald, Wayne, Edward, Richard and Virgil Carpenter; sister, Mabel Finney; and son-in-law, Marc Lobel. Surviving is his loving wife 67 years, Betty; children, Earl Jr. (Linda), Karen (Gordon) Lobel, Sharon (Pat) Ferris, James (Carol), Betty Joy (John) Luntsford; 68 grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; sisters, Muriel Letsinger and Juanita Turner, and many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends may visit Wednesday 2:00-8:00 p.m. at the W. K. Sujkowski & Son Funeral Home, 3838 Airport Hwy. where Funeral services will on Thursday, April 4, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. Tributes may be directed to Ebeid Hospice or Bethel Assembly of God Church, Perrysburg, OH.
