MILLER Ferdinand "Ferd" J. Ferdinand "Ferd" J. Miller, 87, of Oregon, Ohio passed away June 25, 2009, at Bay Park Community Hospital. He was born in Toledo, Ohio on August 9, 1921, to Ferdinand and Mary (LaSonde) Miller. Ferd was a World War II Navy Veteran, and had been employed as an iron worker for Henry Gurtzweiler Inc. for 60 years, retiring in 1984. He was a member of Local #55 and the James Hancock Senior Center. Ferd enjoyed playing cards at the senior center, helping people, being involved in the community, but most of all he loved spending time with his family. Surviving are his children, Dan and Sandra Miller and their children, Mindy (Kurt) Snow, and their children, Alana, Serena, Pete and Mia; Don (Elaine) Miller and their children, Maddie, Henry and Theo, Buck (Christina) Miller and their child, Carly, Jake (Emily) Miller and their child, Maximus, Marcy and friend, George, Tom and Sandy Miller and their children, Ferd (Stacy) Miller and their children, Meghan and Ian, Chad (Barb) Miller and their children, Owen and Bodee, Heather (Dave) Lott and their children, Dawson and Faith; Tait (Amber) Miller and their children, Wyatt and Kennedy, Zeb Miller, Ken (Nancy) Miller and their children, Ben, Sam and Elijah Miller, Cheri (Dan) Kneisley and their child, Josh Kneisley, Ogie (Peggy) Miller and their children, Kirk (Laura) Miller and Matt (Jessica) Miller and their children, Courtney and Natalie, Lindsay Miller, Jeff (Margaret) Miller; sister, Leora Eggert. Ferd was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Betty and 8 sisters. Friends and family may visit at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Sunday, June 28, 2009, from 2-9 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home on Monday at 11:00 a.m. with interment following in Lake Township Cemetery.
