Evangelist James Holden, 75, passed away November 28, 2013, at Mercy Medical Center in Perrysburg, OH. Born in Detroit, MI, he relocated to Toledo in 1984. He retired from General Motors Corporation in 2007, after 34 years of service. Well known in
the religious community, he served several churches in the Toledo, OH, Battle Creek, Jackson and Detroit, MI communities. Most recently, he served Solomon's Temple Church in Toledo. He was an honorably discharged
veteran of the U.S. Army (Green Beret) having served in Vietnam.
He leaves to cherish his memory wife of 22 years, Glenda Holden; sons, James Holden Jr., Gary (Tran) Holden, and Kyle Jackson; three daughters, Anita Holden, Shannel Croom, and Dannielle Jackson, and five grandchildren; one great- grandchild; three sisters; nieces; nephews; cousins, and many friends.
Visitation will be Saturday, 11 a.m. followed by funeral services at 12 noon Dale-Riggs Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Willie Knighten officiant, Rev. Benjamin Thomas eulogist. Interment, Monday, December 9, 2013, with family and friends
meeting at Detroit Memorial Park Cemetery at 13 mile and Ryan Road Warren, MI at 12 noon.
