Jean E.
Jean E. Nolan, formerly Jean Serna and Jean Kardux, of Toledo died on Sunday, November 25, 2012, at Ebeid Hospice Residence in Sylvania at the age of 66 and after a long battle with breast cancer.
Jean was born in Jasper, Michigan on November 20, 1946, and graduated from Lyons High School in 1964. She worked in cosmetology, salon management and property management. She loved the holidays and being with her children.
She is survived by her children, Sean Serna (Cathleen), Desi Serna (Dyan), and Adrianne Serna; plus seven grandchildren, Bebe, Lucy, Annie, Marisa, Brian, Jessica and Lila.
Jean said at her baptism in 2010, and after being very ill throughout 2007 and 2008, "I believe God saved my life so that I could be standing here today choosing to be born again."
A visitation will be held Friday November 30, 2012, from 4:00-5:30 p.m. at Westgate Chapel in Toledo. A short memorial service will also be held at the church beginning at 5:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, please send a donation to Ebeid Hospice Foundation in Sylvania, which helped to cover part of the cost of Jean's care.
