Joseph R. Anderson passed away on Saturday, April 5, 2014, at The Toledo Hospital. Joe was born in Toledo on March 19, 1942, to Robert and Bernice (Wlydka) Anderson. He resided in Rossford his whole life, and was a graduate of Rossford High School. He was employed at Chrysler TMP for 31 years, and retired in March of 1997. Joe enjoyed bowling and golf, was an Ohio State Buckeyes fan, and a New York Yankees fan. Joe served in the Army from March of 1964, to March of 1966, and was a Vietnam Veteran. He was a member of the American Legion Post 533 in Rossford, serving in many capacities including Past Commander. He also belonged to the Rossford VFW Post 6409.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia (Haar) Anderson; son, David (Kris) Anderson; daughter, Mary Jo Anderson; grandson, Zachary

Anderson, and great-granddaughter, Avery Mae Anderson. Also surviving is his brother, Robert (Jean) Anderson and cousin, Carol Jean (Bill) Nollenberger, and several nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his parents; sister, Carol Lee Faneuff and brother-in-law, Jack Faneuff.

Family and friends may visit at the Sujkowski Funeral Home of Rossford, 830 Lime City Rd. on Wednesday, April 9, 2014, from 3 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 10, 2014, at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park. Anyone wishing to make a remembrance for Joe, may do so by a donation to Rossford American Legion Post 533.
