Joshua Taylor Brown, age 23, of Sylvania passed away suddenly on May 31, 2014. He was born September 30, 1990, in Toledo to Charles D. and Donna L. (Holbrook) Brown Jr. He was a 2009 graduate of Sylvania Northview High School, attended The Ohio State University and was a 2014 graduate of Lourdes College with a bachelor of business degree. Joshua loved the Ohio State Buckeyes and spending Saturdays watching them with his family and friends. He was also very passionate about writing, creating and recording music. His bright light and contagious smile will be missed. As the youngest child and grandchild, Joshua was devoted to his family and was a loving son, grandson, brother, uncle, nephew and cousin.
Surviving are his parents, Charlie and Donna; brothers, Bradley (Ashley) Brown and Drew (Molli McReynolds) Brown; nephew, Andrew Brown; grandparents, Virginia Siewert and Donald Holbrook, Charles D. and Bonita Brown Sr. and Joe and Jackie Staab; his beloved dog, Kosmo; many aunts, uncles and cousins, and the Buckeye family.
Friends may visit the family at the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave. (west of Corey) on Wednesday, from 2:00-8:00 p.m. The Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated Thursday, at 10:30 a.m. in St. Joseph's Church, Sylvania. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the Sylvania Community Action Team (SCAT), 4747 N. Holland-Sylvania Rd., Sylvania, Ohio 43560.
