Kenneth R. Pastorek, age 82, of Genoa, Ohio passed away on Friday, June 14, 2013, at his residence. He was born on July 27, 1930, in Springdale, PA to August and Anna (Jursa) Pastorek. Ken worked as a machine repairman for Chrysler Corporation for many years and a life time member of the UAW. After retiring in 1992 Ken and Betty enjoyed traveling and attending the Chrysler Retirement monthly luncheons.
Ken was a craftsman with additional interests in gardening, boating, fishing, baseball, and bowling having won a ring for a perfect game. Ken served in the Air Force.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty (Carr) Pastorek, and brothers, Leonard, August (Gus) and Joseph Pastorek.
Surviving are his sisters, Miriam Weis (and the late James Weis), Antoinette (John) Buerkert and Christine (Emile Firpo) Pastorek; stepsons, David Carr, Dennis (Michele) Carr, and step-daughter, Siri Hoffman. Also surviving are many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A graveside service for Ken will be held on Thursday, June 27, 2013, at 7 p.m. at Oak Grove Cemetery in Bowling Green, Ohio with Rev. Albert Ceranowski officiating.
