LeRoy was born on September 5, 1924, and died on October 23, 2013. LeRoy served in the Coast Guard in World War II. He married Gladys Metzger in 1948, and she died in 1976. He completed a
business degree at University of Toledo. LeRoy worked for different truck lines for many years; his last career was with Washington Local Schools as a fireman.
He was a member of Salem Lutheran Church for 60+ years. He was instrumental in bringing the Feed Your Neighbor Program to Salem as well as helping establish the Agape Meals Program at Salem. Both of these programs continue to help those in need. He also volunteered for Market Basket at L.S.S. for 15 years.
At age 58, LeRoy met Cathy and they married in 1983. They have worked together for 30 years helping others. LeRoy was a tough guy to know, but once you knew him, you couldn't help but see what a big heart he had and how much he cared about those in need.
Surviving LeRoy is his wife, Cathy; his children, Jeff (Anita) St. Clair, Dorcas St. Clair, Joy (Stan) Palmer, and Cristinia St. Clair; grandchildren, Jenna, Chris, Nathan, and Morgan; two great-grandchildren; mother-in-law, Phyllis Spencer;

The family will receive guests on Monday, October 28, 2013, from 4-8 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin in the funeral home on Tuesday at 11 a.m. with visitation one hour prior.
Special thank you to ProMedica Hospice RN, Cindy and HHA, Stacy - you blessed us more than you will ever know.
The best memorial you can give to remember LeRoy is to hug those you love everyday and to remember, we are all our brothers' keeper.
