Marjorie Ann

Marjorie Ann Dixon, 81 years, of Temperance, MI passed away Friday, May 9, 2014, in The Toledo Hospital. She was a mail carrier with the U.S. Post Office, Temperance Branch for over 20 years. Later she worked for Carter Carpets in Temperance for 20 years and previously Michigan Tube Swaggers in Erie.

The daughter of Ellsworth and Rosella (Poland) Moyer, she was born April 18, 1933, in Toledo. She was a 1951 graduate of Bedford High School.

Margie was a very busy person, and a hard worker who also took the time to enjoy tending the flowers in her yard. She was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, the Red Hat Society, and Lambertville V.F.W. Auxiliary Post #9656.

She is survived by her 3 loving sons, Dennis, Doug, and Timothy Dixon; 4 grandchildren who will miss her dearly, Jennifer (Michael) Kirk, Melissa (Jimmy Matz) Dixon, Douglas (Brittany) Dixon Jr., Daniel Dixon; 6 great-grandchildren, James Koback Jr., Gavin Kirk, Zander Matz, Laila Kirk, Mia Matz, Parker Dixon, and 2 step-great-grandchildren, Hailey Matz and James Matz. She was preceded in death by a son, Jeffery Dixon; brother, Arden B. Moyer, and her parents.

Visitation will be Tuesday, May 13, 2014, from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in Urbanski's Bedford Funeral Chapel, 8300 Lewis Avenue, Temperance, MI where a Scripture Service will be held at 7:30 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, May 14, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church where she will lie in state after 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Erie Union Cemetery.
