Robert A. Beavers, 79, of Toledo passed away peacefully at Ebeid Hospice Residence, on Thursday, January 16, 2014. Bob was born in B

aileysville, West Virginia

to Delbert and Maxine (Simmons) Williams.

Robert was a 1953 graduate of Pineville High School and earned his Associate Degree at the University of Toledo. He served his country as an Army Veteran. Bob had a 25 year career in law enforcement with the Toledo Police Department, retiring as a

detective in 1988. He was a member of the Wolves Club, Lambertville VFW American Legion Post and Toledo

Police Retiree Association.

Bob was a loving father, husband and grandfather. He enjoyed his retirement years with his friends, family and especially his grandchildren. He had a passion for golf and enjoyed his time spent on the course with friends. Bob was a great story teller and he will always be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor.

Left to cherish his memory are children, Bart (Ingrid) Beavers, Keith Beavers, Scott (Julie) Beavers, Susan (John) Marcinkowski, Cathy (Brian) Szymanski, Lou (Karen) Langermann and John Langermann; brothers-in-law, Vince (Ninni) Galbo and Ron (Debbie) Wilson; sister-in-law, Catherine (Jim) Edwards; grandchildren, Jennifer, Stephanie, Brooke, Hannah, Sarah, Emma, John, Adam, Jake, Sam, Louie, Kristen, Alex, Alyssa,

Anna and great-grandchild, Allison. Bob was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Charles Bartley Beavers and wives, Grace (Langermann) Beavers, Jeanne (Wilson) Beavers and Joanne (Cook) Beavers.

In lieu of flowers, those wishing to leave a memorial in Bob's honor may wish to consider the Old Newsboys Goodfellow Association or Ebeid Hospice Residence.

The family wishes to

graciously thank Dr. Jeanine Huttner for her personalized and compassionate care for Bob.

Friends are invited to join the family for visitation on Sunday, January 19, 2014, at Reeb Funeral Home, 5712 N. Main St., Sylvania, OH from 2 p.m. until 7 p.m., where the Funeral Service will be held on Monday at 2 p.m. Interment will follow at Toledo Memorial Park.
