Robert G. Elliott, age 77, of Toledo, passed away on Thursday, June 13, 2013, at the Toledo Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was born on November 10, 1935, in Toledo, OH to Glenn and Helen (Dowell) Elliott. A Veteran of the US Army and the US Navy, he was a member of the VFW Post 606 and the American Legion Post 576. Robert worked as a quality control lab tech for the DuPont Chemical Co. for 30 years, retiring from there in 1994. He was a longtime parishioner of Regina Coeli Catholic Church where he volunteered as an Usher. A skilled golfer, he golfed on the Regina Coeli Golf League and was a Player Assistant at Giant Oaks Golf Course. He was also an avid Ohio State Buckeye fan.
Robert is survived by his devoted wife of 47 years, Rosemary "Pete" (Faust) Elliott; daughters, Rita Elliott and Rene (Todd) Schrock; grandchildren, Terry Robert Schrock, and Gregory Todd Schrock; great-grandson, Bently Thomas Schrock; sisters, Jeanette Coulter, Rosemarie Bath and Pamela Turner, and brothers, Don (Marty) Elliott and John Meyers. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Elaine Sharp.
Family and friends may visit on Sunday from 2:00-8:00 p.m. at Sujkowski Funeral Home Northpointe, 114 E. Alexis Rd. with recitation of the Rosary at 6:00 p.m. Funeral Services will begin on Monday at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home and continue with the Funeral Mass in Regina Coeli Church at 10:00 a.m. The Lucas County Burial Corps will conclude with Military Honors in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
