Rosemary H. Bauerschmidt of Toledo, OH passed away Sunday, June 23, 2013. She was born February 7, 1921, daughter of Daniel and Ruth (Laberdee) Hatt. She was married for 59 years to William J. Bauerschmidt, who preceded her in death, with whom she had nine children.
Rosemary graduated from Devilbiss High School and Davis Secretarial College. She worked in the Toledo office of IBM during WWII and in later years at Levey Interiors and Flower Hospital. She volunteered for the Red Cross Grey Ladies, Devilbiss Class of 39 Reunion Committee, the Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts of America and American Business Woman. Rosemary was past President of St. Catherine Altar Society, and an officer of the Kay-C-Ettes. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Sylvania where she served on the Women's Club and funeral committee. She and Bill collaborated many years in recording their genealogy, playing bridge, and traveling.
Beside the loss of her beloved husband, she was preceded in death by daughters, Pamela Grime, Kathleen Zolciak, and son, Douglas. She is survived by sons, David W. and Daniel J (Lynn) Bauerschmidt; daughters, Suzanne (Matti) Lake, Christine L. O'Connor, Karen R. Bauerschmidt, Aimee J. Garza, and daughter-in-law, Christine Bauerschmidt. She also has 12 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren
Friends may call at the Reeb Funeral Home, 5712 N. Main St., Sylvania, OH, Thursday, June 27, from 3 to 8 p.m. with a scripture service at 7 p.m. The funeral mass will be conducted at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 5373 S. Main St., Sylvania, OH. Friday, June 28 at 1 p.m., followed by interment at St. Joseph Cemetery. Those wishing to give memorials in lieu of flowers are asked to consider the charity of there choice.
