Ruth A.

Ruth A. Gimple, 85, of Toledo, Ohio passed away at Hospice of Northwest Ohio on S. Detroit Ave. on Wednesday, August 21, 2013. Ruth was born on May 30, 1928, to Arnold and Eva (Dazel) Gimple. She graduated from Notre Dame Academy. Ruth worked for and retired from The Toledo Blade newspaper after 41 years. Ruth was an avid movie and theater fan since her teen years. She spent years of her time working with the Toledo Repertoire Theater, Playhouse in the Park and The Chamber Theater from acting to production work. Ruth's favorite role was that of Anne Sullivan in the stage play, A Miracle Worker, a story of Helen Keller.

Surviving are her brother, James (Joanne) Gimple; nephews, Robert Klein, Capt. Matthew (Tori) Gimple USCG and Paul (Cheryl) Gimple, and niece, Eve Gimple. Ruth was preceded in death by her sister, Thelma; brother, John, and her parents. Ruth has generously donated her body to the University of Toledo Medical Center.

A Mass of Remembrance for Ruth is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. October 6, 2013, at St Pius X Church. Those wishing to give a memorial are asked to consider , St Pius X Catholic Church or Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
