Sally Moore "Foxy"
Sally Moore Devaney, (most fondly known as "Foxy"), age 94, passed away at Franciscan Care Center Sylvania on March 23, 2013. She was born March 22, 1919 to Frank and Josie Moore in Marysville, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, John "Jack" McBarron Devaney, and son, Timothy Devaney. She is survived by daughter, Anne (John) Wilcheck; grandchildren, Maureen, Paul and Kevin (Emily) Wilcheck; great-grandchildren, Aiden and Brendan Wilcheck and nephew, Richard (Margaret) Harris of Virginia. She is also survived by her best friend, Elizabeth Conlisk.
A 1941 graduate of Ohio Wesleyan University, she was an organist for churches in Marysville, Ohio and Delaware, Ohio. She was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority, and Mu Phi Epsilon, Music Honorary. She was an elementary school teacher and the second president of Young Associates of the Columbus Symphony. She was also a member of Pleasure Guild of Children's Hospital, and Vice-President of Kappa Kappa Gamma Columbus Alumnae Group.
A funeral memorial service is scheduled for 11 a.m. April 6, 2013 at St. Joseph Sylvania.
