Thomas S. Lapinski, 80, of Holland, passed away on June 28, 2014. He was born on September 18, 1933, to Walter and Mary (Zarawski) Lapinski in Toledo, OH. Thomas proudly served his country in the U.S. Army 11th Airborne during the Korean War. He worked at Hammill Manufacturing, retiring after 47 dedicated years. He was a member of A.L. Holland Post 646 and Our Lady of Lourdes Church. Thomas was an avid fan of Notre Dame football; he enjoyed fishing and cherished the time he devoted to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Thomas was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Richard, Robert, Walter Jr., Edward, Leonard, and sister, Geraldine. He will be dearly missed by his loving wife of 59 years, Joyce Ann (Glowski); children, Al (Linda) Lapinski, Beth Ann Balwinski, Chris (Diane) Lapinski and Robin (John) Glauser; grandchildren, Andy, Lynn, Samantha, Cecilia and Garrett; great- grandchildren, Ellianna, Cole and Nolan; sister, Phyllis Sass, and many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may visit on Tuesday, from 2-8 p.m., with A.L. Holland Post 646 Services at 7 p.m., at the W.K. Sujkowski & Son Funeral Home, 3838 Airport Hwy., where Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, July 2, 2014, at 11 a.m. Burial services will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes may be directed Our Lady of Lourdes Church or the Wounded Warrior Project.
