Edwin J. "Eddie"



Edwin J. "Eddie" Palinski, age 77, of Toledo passed away Friday, December 20, 2013, in Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg.

A U.S. Army veteran, Eddie joined the Toledo Police Department in 1959, and he retired as a Lieutenant in 1990. He loved boating and docked his boat at Meinke Marina for over forty years. He also enjoyed taking fishing trips with his friends and following politics. He was a loyal friend who never met a stranger. He was an avid University of Michigan football, Boston Red Sox and hockey fan. Eddie was also on the Toledo Police Federal Credit Union Board for many years

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Donna; daughter, Diana (Randy) Palinski-Roberts; granddaughters, Josephine "Josie" and Reese; brothers, Len (Sue) and Donald (Judy) Palinski; sister, Judy (Jerry) Peters as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Family and friends may visit at the Coyle Funeral Home, 1770 S. Reynolds Rd., on Monday, from 2-8 p.m.
