Frances Elizabeth Abbott went home to be with her Beloved Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on January 28th, 2014. She was surrounded by her loving and adoring children, Jason Abbott, Sarah Deter, Jessie Michel and Luke Abbott. She leaves behind her sweet grandchildren, Seth, Amelia, Molly, Bella, Kole, Chloe and in-womb-infant, Olive.
She was born in Bloomington, IN, on April 8th, 1948, the daughter of the late Harley and Olive Linthicum. She was the oldest of three siblings, Pam and Harley Linthicum, who survive.
She graduated at the top of her class, excelling in math and biology, at Bloomington High School, going on to graduate with a teaching degree and majoring in Botany, from Indiana University. She became a follower of Jesus and excelled in everything she put her hand to, by God's grace.
She was married to John Abbott for 26 years. Frances was blessed to teach passionately at Kingspoint Christian School for nearly 20 years, where she thrived and prayed over the needs of her peers and students, trusting God for everything. She retired due to health issues in 2012 and enjoyed the extra time and company of her family. He who began a good work in Frances, was faithful to complete the work He started in her. His designs for her life were glorious.
A memorial service will be held at New Vintage Church on Saturday, February 1st at 4 p.m. Please join us as we celebrate the life of our dear mother.
