It is with deepest sorrow family and friends say good-bye to Buddy, AKA, L. Edward LeMay. With joy we remember his infectious laugh, wide smile and great hugs. He had opinions about everything and would gladly debate them with the slightest provocation.
He is survived by his parents, Lee and Liz LeMay; nephews Anthony Schlotfeldt and JJ Robinson; special Aunt Linda LeMay; siblings of the heart Barbara Adams and Mike McKinney. His extended family includes many Aunts, Uncles and cousins from the LeMay and Frost families. Most poignant of all his survivors are his best friends Rudy and Freddie Farmer. With their noses to the window, they wait for him to return and their sad eyes ask the question, "His car is in the driveway, where is he Mom?" With thumbs up and a twinkle in his eye, he's made the BIG move. He left us a legacy of love, a joy of learning and a dash of skepticism. We love you Big Guy.
Edward graduated from Kamiakin High School in 1989. He attended CBC, University of Washington, University of Minnesota, and the University of Portland, receiving a B.A. and an M.A. in Medieval Studies, a M.A. in Religious Studies and an M.A. in Cultural Anthropology. At the time of his death, he was also pursuing a doctoral degree.
Buddy is now attending a family reunion with his brother Dean LeMay, sister Geri Anne Robinson, Grandparents Edward and Bethel LeMay and Chester and Martha Frost.
Memorials will be held August 24th in Kennewick, Washington at the Kennewick Valley Grange starting at noon and August 31st in St. Johns, Oregon at the Central Hotel, 8608 N. Lombard St. starting at 5:00 p.m. Bring your stories and your memories and celebrate a life lived well, but much too short, with Buddy's family and friends.
