Mueller's Greenlee Funeral Home

Mary Elizabeth (Marybeth) Arnold, 67, went to be with her Lord Jesus Christ on August 3, 2014 in Pasco, WA. She was born to Paul and Ann Jaqua on May 22, 1947 in Ravenna, OH.

After graduating from Ohio State University with a degree in pharmacy, and being tired of the cold winters, she moved to Las Vegas, NV where she practiced pharmacy and became the pharmacy association president. In 1979, she moved to Olympia, WA with her young daughter, whom she raised on her own, and where she was a pharmacist for almost 20 years. During that time, she attended Westwood Baptist church and participated in many medical missions to many different countries.

Looking to retire and care for her elderly mother full time, she moved to Petaluma, CA and became part owner of a horse ranch. When her mother passed, she sold her interest in the ranch and moved to Pasco, WA to be near her daughter. She once again worked as a pharmacist and volunteered thousands of hours at Grace Clinic over the last 12 years. In addition to working and volunteering, she was an incredibly devoted mother and grandmother.

Marybeth's faith in Jesus Christ and love of serving Him was clearly evident in her life. She was always extremely generous, willing to help, and loving. She truly lived out Hebrews 12:1-2: She ran with perseverance the race marked out for her, fixing her eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. Marybeth was a member of Bethel Church in Richland, WA where she raised her hand during services.

Marybeth was preceded in death by her siblings James Jaqua and Margaret Holzapfel. Marybeth is survived by her loving daughter and son-in-law, Alicia and David Evans, and grandchildren, Zebadiah and Abigail Evans of Pasco, WA; brother and sister-in-law, Gordon and Helen Jaqua and their 3 children; brother, Richard Jaqua; and brother-in-law, Mark Holzapfel and his 2 children.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 23, 2014 at 2 p.m. at Pasco Christian Church, 1524 W. Marie St, Pasco, WA. A reception will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations to Grace Clinic would be appreciated.
