Richard Bergman Richard (Dick) Barry Bergman was born December 30, 1946 and passed away peacefully on June 8, 2014. Dick was given 21 "bonus" years of life following a stroke in 1993. He was a Navy Seabee serving during the Vietnam War. The father of two daughters, Tiffany and Danielle, and grandfather to one, Ethan, Dick was one who loved the outdoors. He loved to be in the sun fishing, playing softball, shooting landscape photography, and relaxing around a campfire. Dick was an electrician by trade, a member of the IBEW 76 for over 30 years, and a skilled craftsman all around; he designed and built his family home with the help of family and friends. Preceded in death by his father Dick, he is survived by his daughters, grandson, his mother Donna, sister April, brother Jack along with his children Renae and Brian and his girlfriend Susanne, brother Bob along with his partner Scott, and countless cousins and extended family. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Jan Fleming for her years of caring assistance and for truly welcoming Dick as family in her adult family home for several years. In lieu of flowers the family welcomes you to make a donation to The
or the American Veterans Association. A celebration of life gathering will be held on Saturday, July 19th at a private residence. Please contact the family or inquire at the Union Hall for address information. View guest book and photos at www.newtacoma.com.
